For me at least the must see game of the week was VfB Stuttgart v Eintracht Frankfurt, well it didn’t disappoint in the sense that same as last time there were plenty of goals. Though it was mostly one way traffic in Frankfurt’s favour, that’s a lot less fun to watch. Another defeat meaning Stuttgart remain in 17th place. It’s not HSV who need someone to rely on being worse than them, it’s Stuttgart right now and for the moment they have that in the form of Mönchengladbach. Of all the teams you could have predicted being bottom going into the international break, Gladbach would never have been one of them. Luckily for Stuttgart Gladbach also failed to get off the mark, losing 2-1 to Bremen on Sunday.
Also on Sunday Dortmund beat Hertha BSC 3-1, a match which saw Roman Bürki face off against his former teammate Vladimir Darida. Bayern beat Leverkusen 3-0, partly thanks to some very questionable decisions by the referee. Not that I wanted Bayern to lose, but it did cross my mind if Leverkusen beat them it would be revenge in a way, since Mehmedi is a Leverkusen player now. One 3-0 score-line I was pleased with is H96 losing to Mainz. It would be most ironic if they got relegated, they got Sorg and Klaus from Freiburg because of the latter’s relegation. If H96 were to get relegated it would be Klaus’ third relegation in a row.
