Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
A life without a computer is not a life I want to live. I know what people will say, what they do say in fact. That I should spend less time online and more time living in the real world. But I wouldn’t be doing much of that with or without a computer. Despite that in some ways I wonder if not having a computer or access to the internet would be a good thing, I certainly would be less angry were that the case. For the simple reason I wouldn’t be reading rage inducing comments about autism or anything else which makes me angry. It’s easier to hide from such ignorance if you’re not online. But then there’s plenty of stuff I wouldn’t have learnt about either, you can’t have one without the other I guess. As for the people aspect of it, if I didn’t have a computer I would spend less time talking to other people, not more.
It’s mostly for fun related reasons that I wouldn’t want to be without a computer. For one thing if I didn’t have one I wouldn’t have found out what I did last night in relation to the latest die Mannschaft collectibles. They’ve done figures before, those little Soccer Starz type ones and back in 2006 they had the mini-men ones. Well these ones are certainly miniature, they’re Lego. Yes, a Lego version of Manuel Neuer and all the rest of them. The final decision hasn’t be made yet as to who will be included in the set. I’m just hoping Matze Ginter will make the cut, he’s a first team player now, he should be there surely. And naturally there had better be one of Jogi. Of course there’s not going to be one of Hansi which is a shame. On a related note you’d think I’d be glad if there wasn’t one of Schneider, actually I do want him to be in the set. Because then I can get revenge of sorts. It’s been a while since I’ve had any Lego of any description but as far as I remember they have removable hair, meaning Schneider could be deprived of his. I don’t expect the figures to be a particularly good likeness, they are Lego after all but I’m hoping to be surprised on that count. I already have two figures of Jogi but they don’t look much like him:
