What is your favorite comfort snack food?
Chocolate chip cookies, not so much because they are my favourite but because they are pretty much the only thing I like to snack on.
If you had to spend one weekend alone in a single store but could remove nothing, which store would you pick? (except food or beverage)
The place I have in mind isn’t open anymore, but it would still be my choice anyway. It was a giant sport store that had everything you could imagine, a football goal, basketball net, a small golfing drive, bikes and trampolines. And lots and lots of football stuff. So many different kinds of goalkeeper gloves and boots to try out. And all those kits. That would be fun. But then a book store or a video game store would be equally fun. I guess a toy store would be the obvious choice, train sets, race car tracks and Nerf guns. But then I’m not sure how much fun that would be alone so I’ll stick with the sports store as my main choice.
What was the largest city you have been to? What is the one thing you remember most?
London is the largest city I’ve been to. The one thing I remember most is how great it is hearing so many different languages in a short space of time and trying to work out what language it is, and of course keeping a ear out for anyone speaking German or Danish. The other thing I remember most is thinking how much I would most definitely would not want to live there, the films I always want to see may always be showing in London and not here but I would really not like to live there. I don’t know yet if it’s a dislike of this particular city or of cities in general.
Finish this sentence: It has recently come to my attention that ….
I am way too tired right now and having so many late nights in such a short space of time was most definitely not a good idea, and getting up to watch Freiburg play St. Pauli in a friendly on Tuesday after only four hours of sleep was an even worse one. I’m certainly paying the price for it right now. Being so reckless with getting a good night’s sleep may have not been a bad thing in terms of getting things done, both video and writing wise, but it’s not at all good when it catches up with you as it is now.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful that my World Cup celebration plans all worked out, that I was able to do everything I wanted. And that I got the all important video done in time.
I’m also grateful for the unexpected bonus of not only being able to see the 1990 final again but getting to record it, meaning I now have a copy that is far better quality than the one I already had on DVD, and even better it too has the original German commentary.
This week I’m looking forward to the fact that tomorrow is my final Bundesliga free Friday, it’s not a football free Friday since Dortmund play Bochum tomorrow evening in a friendly which I will be watching in the hope that Roman Bürki will be in the starting eleven. Or that if not, at least he’ll get to play the second half as has been the case in some of the other friendlies so far.
