If you could slow down an action that usually zooms by, or speed up an event that normally drags on, which would you choose, and why?

What would I speed up? Absolutely nothing at all, there are plenty of moments where I wished time could go faster, doctor’s appointments, plenty of school related moments, countless social situations. Nevertheless no matter how torturous, boring or frustrating something is, time is a precious commodity, one which should never be wasted or wished away.
There are things I would not mind slowing down, late night train rides and walks back from the cinema. Those I wish could last forever. The rare occasions in conversation when someone gets what I’m saying without having to explain it twice, comfortable silences, truly terrific dreams and the frenetic happiness that occurs at the beginning of a new special interest. I wish I could preserve that forever. I wish the beginning of a new special interest could be slowed down and dragged out for as long as is humanly possible

Another thing I wouldn’t mind slowing down is winter, I love that time of year. Most other people are complaining and miserable about the weather. Not me, it’s my favourite time of the year. I spend a lot of time stuck inside anyway, it’s only in winter that I can truly appreciate being inside. There’s very little in the world that can be beat being wrapped in a blanket reading a good book, whilst listening to the rain and wind outside.

It just occurred to me, there is one thing that I wouldn’t mind speeding up the process of and that is the inevitable and messy end of an obsession. If I were to pick something, it would definitely be that.
